We are happy to announce that DOBARA is partnering with LAMPSHADE WRITERS for an Open Mic Poetry Event. We will be doing this event ONLINE on the 29th of January 2022, Saturday at 5pm India Time.
We invite everyone who is a writer, a poet, a secret scribbler of beautiful thoughts to sign up and share your talent with us. We welcome all languages, the more varied the better. This is a free event to promote Wellbeing.
What exactly is an Open Mic ?
An Open Mic is an event that is open to anyone who wants to read and share their own poetry to an audience and see the impact it has in real time. It is a wonderful way to spread beauty and inspire others. You just have to register and then on the day of the event, you will be invited to read your original writing. The audience will be full of supportive and encouraging cheerleaders.
This specific Open Mic is our effort to invite Senior Citizens to join us and share their thoughts and words with us. That is why DOBARA is partnering with LampShade Writers to reach out to a wider group of people of varied ages and have an intergenerational connect and exchange of ideas. Lampshade Writers is a community that aims to foster and nourish the writer within you. They host curated Open Mic events and we are so happy to be doing this one with them to boost Senior Citizens into the spotlight.
This is a perfect platform for you to showcase your work, show-off your gifts, meet others and interact and have a stimulating evening in good company.
