A Tasty Tuesday Treat - Punjabi Cuisine with Sanghamitra Review by Chetan Swaroop

I'm thrilled to share the heartwarming event of DOBARA TASTY TUESDAY with Sanghamitra Malik. The lunch get-together that brought together friends, laughter, and scrumptious food.

A journey filled with mouthwatering dishes and unforgettable memories.

There's something special about gathering with friends during the lunch hour.

The tantalizing aroma of delicious food, the sound of laughter, and the exchange of stories and ideas make lunch get-togethers the perfect opportunity to bond and create lasting memories.

More than just a shared meal; it was an opportunity to foster connections, create lasting memories, and strengthen bonds with friends. Their camaraderie and genuine affection for each other painted the gathering with an atmosphere of pure joy and contentment.

The venue was the Ansari home at Sheikpet, Used often for DOBARA EVENTS and very aptly called HAMARA DOBARA!

Surrounded by lush greenery and adorned with shrubs and trees, creepers, wood rose and more, the home oozes of old world charm with its vintage furniture and antique adornments, evokes a feeling of nostalgia. The gentle breeze and the sound of rain drops set the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of togetherness.

I was greeted by Mr Fasiuddin and Ms Naheed Malik and was ushered in after exchanging pleasantries. The members were greeted with warm smiles and sweet lassi. ( Ms Sanghamitra Malik who offered to demonstrate Punjabi food insisted it would not be complete without lassi!)

Excitement filled the air as we exchanged heartfelt greetings.

Seated around a massive rose wood dining table for 12 we eagerly caught up on each other's lives.

We shared stories of personal victories, professional challenges, and the little joys that had brought smiles to our faces.

The genuine interest and support from each friend reaffirmed the strength of our bond.

The menu was a delectable assortment of Dal makhni, Rajma chawal, mutton curry prepared by our multifaceted Ms Sanghamitra Malik, who gave a demo of the Punjabi cuisine and also sang Punjabi songs

(to complete the Punjabi ambience) much to the delight of the guests who started clapping and humming along with her.

Choosing our favourite dish proved to be a delightful challenge, with each dish sounding more tempting than the last.

Starting with the creamy salad and adding scoops of dal makhni and Rajma chawal along with the mutton curry with the tender and juicy chunks melting in the mouth.

The grand finale was an indulgent affair as we shared the traditional kheer. Finally the paan arrived with the traditional greeting of Asalamaleikum by the receiver and waleikumasalam by the one offering it.

We realized that the true magic of the lunch get-together lay in the company of dear friends. The food was exceptional, but it was the camaraderie, the authentic connections, and the feeling of being unconditionally supported that made this experience truly unforgettable.

As we bid farewell, promising to meet again soon, we carried with us the cherished memories of our lunch get-together. In this fast-paced world, taking the time to nourish our friendships and savor the simple joys of life is a precious gift. So, next time you're yearning for a moment of togetherness, remember that a get-together can be the perfect recipe for happiness, love, and lasting bonds. So keep attending the events by DOBARA.

Cheers to friendship, good food, and unforgettable moments. Thanks to DOBARA!
